Site Care is the basic maintenance plan. Ground Control is an upgraded monthly partnership for businesses that want more ongoing attention, visibility, and help moving things forward.

The Agreement
Ground Control Plan & Agreement
1. Service Scope
Ascend will provide Ground Control for the client website and related digital presence. Ground Control includes the Site Care foundation plus signals oversight, limited monthly course corrections, and a more active support rhythm.
Ground Control is intended to help maintain, monitor, and improve the client’s website, signals, and agreed business support areas over time. It does not include unlimited changes, unlimited consulting, full marketing management, advertising management, coaching programs, creative projects, or custom development unless separately agreed in writing.
2. Site Care Foundation
Ground Control includes hosting and infrastructure, backup and recovery, and ongoing maintenance for one standard website.
Hosting resources are provided for normal small business website use. Sites with unusual storage, bandwidth, traffic, ecommerce, membership, or technical requirements may require a different hosting arrangement or additional fees.
3. Signals Oversight
Signals are the key areas Ascend uses to review how the business shows up online, communicates with customers, supports trust, and keeps important information organized.
Signals oversight may include review, documentation, recommendations, and light monitoring of agreed upon areas. Signals oversight does not guarantee rankings, traffic, leads, sales, or specific business results.
4. Monthly Course Corrections
Ground Control includes limited monthly Course Corrections. These are small adjustments intended to keep the website and agreed digital details current.
Examples may include minor text updates, simple link updates, swapping existing images, updating basic contact information, or similar small refinements. Unused Course Corrections do not roll over unless agreed in writing.
5. Missions for Larger Work
Requests that require deeper planning, coaching, strategy, design, development, troubleshooting, integrations, content creation, SEO, marketing, automation, creative support, merch design, or other focused work beyond the included Ground Control scope will be handled as Missions.
Missions are scoped and priced separately before work begins. This keeps Ground Control predictable while giving the client a clear path for focused work and larger improvements.
6. Client Responsibilities
The client is responsible for keeping billing information current, maintaining ownership of their domain name, providing needed access, responding to requests for information, and notifying Ascend of important business or website changes.
The client agrees not to install, remove, or modify plugins, themes, users, DNS records, hosting settings, or other technical systems without first coordinating with Ascend. Client changes may affect coverage and may require a Mission to repair.
7. Third Party Services
Websites often rely on third party platforms, plugins, themes, payment processors, email tools, DNS providers, domain registrars, analytics tools, and outside services.
Ascend is not responsible for outages, policy changes, pricing changes, account issues, security incidents, or failures caused by third party services.
8. Billing, Renewal & Suspension
Ground Control is billed on a recurring basis unless otherwise stated in writing. The plan renews automatically until canceled.
If payment fails or becomes overdue, Ascend may pause Ground Control services, pause Course Corrections, suspend hosting, or remove access until the account is current. Ascend may update pricing with reasonable notice.
9. Cancellation
The client may cancel Ground Control by giving written notice to Ascend. Once canceled, Ascend is no longer responsible for hosting, backups, updates, maintenance, monitoring, Course Corrections, Signals oversight, security, or recovery.
Ascend will provide reasonable assistance with website transfer or export upon request. Transfer support, migration work, cleanup, or reactivation after cancellation may be billed separately.
10. Ownership & Licenses
The client owns their website content, brand assets, copy, images, and business information unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Some tools, themes, plugins, fonts, stock assets, or software licenses may be provided through Ascend accounts or third party subscriptions. These licenses may not transfer with the site after cancellation unless separately purchased or assigned.
11. Security & Acceptable Use
Ascend takes reasonable steps to maintain a healthy website environment, but no website can be guaranteed to be fully secure at all times.
The client agrees not to use the website for unlawful, abusive, harmful, misleading, or high risk activity. Ascend may suspend service if the website creates security, legal, reputational, or infrastructure risk.
12. Limitation of Liability
Ascend is not responsible for indirect damages, lost revenue, lost profits, lost data, lost opportunities, reputational harm, or business interruption related to the website, hosting, maintenance, third party services, or client actions.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Ascend’s total liability under this agreement is limited to the amount paid by the client for Site Care during the previous three months.
13. No Guarantee of Results
Ground Control helps maintain and improve the client’s digital foundation over time. It does not guarantee search rankings, traffic, leads, sales, conversions, uptime, email deliverability, accessibility compliance, or specific business results.
14. Acceptance
By purchasing, renewing, signing, or continuing to use the Ground Control Plan, the client agrees to this Ground Control Plan & Agreement.
This agreement represents the Ground Control coverage between the client and Ascend by ETI Performance Improvement. Any changes must be agreed to in writing.
